Why build it by hand
If you have a vision, or a mood board of websites you really like, shopping for a template is frustrating. I don't use templates at all. I build your website exactly how you want it to look, without restrictions.
The Lost Ones was fully designed in Adobe Illustrator by the customer, and the final website is pixel perfect to their vision. Zambelis Concrete Artistry came with a few examples of websites they liked, and I mashed them together into something new that matched their vision.
Behind the site
A backend, when you need one.
Some sites are just pages. Others need a screen you log into and run the business from. I build that when the job calls for it.
Uploading products, changing workshop dates, reading enquiries, adding images to a gallery. Whatever that site needs, so a small change does not mean calling me.

The honest bit
Things I'll tell you straight.
- Most builds are live in about two weeks.
- If an existing CMS (Shopify for example) fits your business better, I'll say so.
Before you email
The questions I get asked most.
- Do you outsource any of this?
- No. Not the design, not the code, not the words. When you email, the person who replies is the person who wrote the thing you are emailing about.
- Will you build me a WordPress site?
- No. Everything here is written from scratch, in code. If a platform really does suit you better, I will say so.
- How many clients do you take at once?
- Usually one at a time, so your build gets worked on properly instead of queued behind four others. Smaller jobs often run alongside a bigger one. Ask me about start dates and you will get a real answer, not a maybe.
- What happens when I need changes later?
- You email me and I do them. No support portal or ticket system. Small changes usually land the same day, larger updates are quoted first so you can decide how to proceed.
- Where are you based?
- Ballarat. Most of my work is around Ballarat, Daylesford, Creswick and Melbourne, and the rest is remote.
